Tigers Relish Jellied Eels!

Forwards on Rampage

Balmain Tigers relished a dish of their favourite entree of Jellied Eels on Saturday as they roared onto premiership favoritism.

With a scoreline of 34-10 the Tigers couldn’t have been happier with their performance as they go onto qualify for the finals series.

David Kelly has the Tigers roaring and rearing to go in the Jersey Flegg Cup comp and they’re an inspiration to their big brothers.

Secret of success of Saturday was the Tigers forward pack who rampaged through the Jellied Eels with six tries and five goals at Cabramatta Sports Ground.

Luke Thompson raced over for two tries supported by tries to Robbie Farah, Jason Chapman, Franco Kmet, Todd Barrow who also popped four over the little black dot with the extra added by Damien Braumann.

Forwards Luke and Robbie were ably supported by Mick Harper, Bryan Dickson, Robbie Lee and Bronson Harrison while fullback and TWT Sports Star Simon Greally had another blinder.

Halfback John Nash and a former TWT Sports Star Franco Kmet also starred in great attacking play while double try scoring second rower Luke Thompson was a worthy man of the match.

The Tigers go on to meet and beat Newcastle this Saturday at Leichhardt Oval HQ at 1.30pm with SG Ball kicking off at 12 noon. Let’s all get along and cheer them on to victory.

Meanwhile our mates at Ryde-Eastwood Hawks maintain their undefeated run in the Jim Beam Cup comp with a 28 all draw with Wenty last Thursday night. They play St Marys at St Marys this Saturday at 3pm.

The Big Boys showed how easy it was with the Jellied Eels at the Olympus Colosseum scoring at will when skipper Darren Senter scampered over for the first try of the night with ultimate ease.

Daniel Fitzhenry repeated the dose in the second half galloping over without a finger on him to show the class of the Tigers. And there’s plenty more to come.

This Saturday they’ll show the way as they scare the pants off the Frights up north in both firsts and Premier League. Then back to the Tigers Den for a cool one or three. See ya there.
