CHRISTMAS IS only 18 days away and we’re well and truly fully in the festive party season morning, day and night. Thank-you for all the invitations but it’s physically impossible to get around to all of them so please accept our apologies if we’re unable to attend your celebration this time.

Christmas Carols services are popular this year although Friday’s storm wiped out several including Putney Public School’s event. However Sunday’s Hunters Hill Carols by Candlelight at Boronia Park starring Little Pattie were great with perfect balmy weather following on from our Gladesville Christmas Festival success Saturday.

ROSEANNE GALLO our local musical songbird has lined up the talent for this Sunday’s TWT North Ryde Rotary Community Christmas Carols Spectacular at North Ryde Common kicking off musically at 5.30pm but with rides and food and drinks stalls opening earlier with fun for all the family.

Bring a blanket or seating and spread out on the grass for a great night’s Christmas entertainment under the stars. And don’t forget to bring your TWT Carols Lift-out with you to sing along. See you there.

CLR TERRY RYAN drove our TWT Teen Queen Samantha Lesic and runners-up Michelle Kirprovski and Krystle Sansom on Saturday in the Gladesville Christmas Festival Grand Parade in his recently imported 1958 DeSoto Firesweep convertible which is arguably the rarest car in Australia.

There were only eight ever made with just two remaining with the other still in the US. This particular vehicle was used by Marilyn Monroe and John Wayne among other celebrities and now our TWT Teen Queen stars. Thank-you Terry.
