New Era for Ryde!

Ryde City Council has finally given the green light for the redevelopment of Top Ryde Shopping Centre and revitalisation of the entire Top Ryde precinct in an historic and unanimous vote at last Tuesday’s final meeting of the year.

Matter was formalised at a signing by various parties in the Mayoral Suite on Friday morning.

Ryde City Council unanimously agreed to the new Ryde Town Plan at last week’s final meeting of the year which will enable revitalisation of the Top Ryde area and especially redevelopment the Top Ryde Shopping Centre.

Council also formalised agreement with the Beville group owners of Top Ryde Shopping Centre for leasing of land under the Ryde Civic Centre site to allow tunnelling for vehicular access to and from the shopping centre off Devlin Street.

Official legal contractual documents were signed and sealed by Ryde City Council and Beville group representatives in the Mayoral suite on Friday morning.
