Flying the flag

Prime Minister John Howard attended a special ceremony at Denistone on Monday to celebrate St Therese’s Catholic School’s new flagpole, bought with the help of government funding and from a contribution from the Hayman family. The three-mast pole was blessed by Father Thu and an Australian flag, a school flag and Aboriginal flag were raised in front of the school community. The school received a $25,000 Federal grant which has brought them trampolines, laptops and security upgrades. Principal.
