Police Rounds Porsche carjacked at knifepoint in Henley A WOMAN was carjacked at Henley at around 3.15pm last Friday afternoon. After hopping out of her Porsche in William Street, she was confronted by a man who threatened her with a knife, whilst demanding the keys to her car. He then got in the car and sped away. The car was used in a number of armed robbery offences in Hurstville and Strathfield and was later recovered in Pyrmont by Burwood Police. *
* * TWO MEN were the victims of a vicious attack at Marsfield on Sunday May 27. One was stabbed in the arm, while another was knocked unconscious, after an argument broke out between them and three young men who were known to them. The attackers then verbally abused the victims before leaving the unit. Both victims were taken to Royal North Shore Hospital for treatment. The three offenders were arrested and charged by Eastwood detectives a few days later. They were granted conditional bail and will appear at court later this month. * * * FOLLOWING A bike ride last Thursday evening a 12-year-old boy was shocked to arrive home to find the front door of his Beecroft home wide open. Whilst waiting in the driveway for someone else to arrive home, he noticed a man jogging up the driveway and into Beecroft Road. He was least seen running down Chapman Avenue. No property was taken, however, a number of items had been disturbed in a bedroom. The man is described as having a muscular build, 165cm tall, wearing a black hooded jumper, long brown/black pants with workman boots. * * * A FIFTEEN year-old girl was the victim of indecent exposure as she was walking near Cheltenham Railway Station at around midday on Tuesday May 29. She saw a naked man walking along the road, before losing sight of him behind a hedge. On seeing him again, he made a lewd comment directed at her, causing her to scream and run towards the railway station. As she looked back she saw him running along The Crescent towards the intersection with The Promenade. The man is described as being 30 to 40 years old, 165 to 170cm tall, solid build, olive complexion, dark brown short hair wearing black-rimmed reading glasses. * * * AN EPPING woman, 46, failed to stop for a random breath test in Carlingford Road, Epping, last Saturday at around 1.40am. She eventually pulled over after police put on their sirens. Police noticed that she was very unsteady on her feet and after she refused to undergo a roadside breath test, she was taken to Eastwood Police Station. She underwent a breath analysis and registered a reading of 0.155. She was issued with a court attendance notice for high range drink driving to appear at Ryde Local Court on June 27. Her licence was suspended. * * * A NUMBER of drivers were arrested over the past week for drink driving offences. A 46-year-old man was arrested during a random breath test in Victoria Road, Ryde at 2am Sunday. A subsequent breath test read 0.085. He was charged with mid range PCA. A 35-year-old man was arrested after being stopped in Victoria Road, Ryde at 12.05am last Friday. He was arrested and taken to Ryde Police Station where he returned a positive reading of 0.055. He was charged with low range PCA. A 66-year-old man was arrested after being stopped in Victoria Road, Ryde at 11pm last Thursday. He returned a positive reading of 0.065, and was charged with low range PCA. A 48-year-old woman was arrested after being stopped in Victoria Road, Ryde at 11.40pm last Thursday. After returning a positive reading of 0.105, she was charged with mid range PCA. A 38-year-old man was arrested in Victoria Road, Ryde at 2am last Wednesday after being involved in a collision. He was taken to Ryde Police Station where he returned a positive reading of 0.095 and was charged with mid range PCA. Armed raids on local hotels Police are hunting three men after armed raids on the Royal Hotel and Woolwich Pier Hotel on Monday night. The trio gained entry to the Royal Hotel on Blaxland Road Ryde by smashing a glass panel. The offenders threatened staff with firearms and a wrench and demanded they handover cash from the register. They fled the scene a short time later in a white Subaru RX station wagon. Its believed the same men were responsible for a hold-up at the Woolwich Pier Hotel, about 10 minutes later. Here, the men threatened staff before stealing cash from a safe and automatic teller machine and fleeing the scene. The first man is described as 170cm tall with a medium build and dark-coloured eyes, while the second man is described as being bigger and taller than the first. The third man has only been described as being male and armed with a gun.
