Good Call Professor Flummery

JB is not the only so called “global warming” and “Climate change” sceptic in this fair metropolis of Sydney.

Tim Blair in Saturday’s Daily Telegraph referred to “Professor of Doom’s dry run” referring to Australia’s Joker of the Year Tim Flannery.

Blair wrote: “Back on June 11, 2005, the ABC reported alarming news from a reliable alarmist: ‘Professor Tim Flannery has warned that Australia is now entering long-term climate change which could cause longer and more frequent droughts. He also predicts that the ongoing drought could leave Sydney’s dams dry in just two years.’

“Two years on to the day, let’s see how Tim’s prediction worked out. Here’s an ABC report from June 11, 2007: ‘Sydney’s largest dam, Warragamba, received 43mm of rain since Thursday while the region’s smaller dams got a better soaking including the Upper Nepean which got 108mm. Sydney’s catchment is 36.9 percent full’.

“Further rain during the week pushed water levels up to 39.2 percent of capacity – more than 950,000 megalitres. Good call, Professor. Any correction from him? Nope. Flannery just switches states and keeps those child-frightening predictions coming.”

And the rains continue to fall and the dams continue to fill. So much for the bunkum of climate change and global warming.

What an absolute farce. Hang your head in shame Professor Flummery.
