Capt
Lee stars in State Cup
Balmain
Ryde Eastwood Tigers skipper Lee Bennett led by example with a man
of the match performance on Sunday at Wenty in a fiery State Cup
game over the Wenty Maggies.
The
Tigers pretty much had the game won by half time with a 10-6 lead
and went on with it soon after lemons to race away 16-6.
Fans
will have a better chance to see the State Cup Tigers when they
play a curtain raiser at the long awaited and long overdue first
home game at Leichhardt Oval HQ by Tigers Firsts on Sunday week
May 25 when we host Gold Coast and welcome back Scott Prince to
Tiger Town.
It
will be a triple header with the Tigers under 20s also in action
over the Gold Coast Tiddlers and should be a sell out in contrast
to the disastrous previous home game at the Olympic
stadium with a hand full of fans and supporters to see the Bananbenders
in action.
Firsts
had a bye last weekend as did the junior cup sides becoz of the
Australia-NZ centenary test at the SCG on Friday night in which
Tigers Dene Halatau had a blinder for the Kiwis and was a stand
out to help the Kiwis win the second half 12-6. After the game this
weekend its back to the Tigers den. See ya there.
