Fighting Sartor’s Pro-Developer Laws!

Councillors Say: Keep It Local!

Hunters Hill Councillors led by Mayor Clr Sue Hoopmann were out in force last Saturday with a united voice and message: Keep the Local in Local Government and fight the State Government’s pro-developer laws.

State Planning Minister Frank Sartor was the target of most criticism for his attempt to reduce the control local communities have over local developments by giving more power to outside property developers.

Lane Cove MP and former Lane Cove mayor Anthony Roberts joined the protesters at Gladesville shopping centre, pictured right.

Mayor Hoopmann, second from left, was joined on Saturday by, l to r, Councillors Richard Quinn, Jason Lin, Peter Astridge and Deputy Mayor Simon Frame and accompanied by two granddaughters, Millie and Jessica.

She said all Councils in the Northern Sydney Region are united in opposing these crazy pro-developer and anti local changes proposed by the State Government.
