JB celebrates 30th Anniversary

The Weekly Times editor and proprietor John F Booth celebrated his 30th year at the helm of our multi award winning Community Newspaper with a cocktail party at Biviano’s Trattoria in Church Street Top Ryde last Wednesday night.

Among the guests who helped cut the cake were Ryde City Mayor Clr Ivan Petch and multi award winning and multi talented entertainer extraordinaire Maria Venuti AM who led the crowd in singing “Happy Birthday JB”.

Reigning TWT Teen Queen Lilian Tahmassian entertained with her Armenian dance group while the great John L Simpson acted as master of ceremonies accompanied by his wife Maria and daughters Lily-Kate and Bella, pictured below admiring the birthday cake from McIntosh’s Cox’s Road Mall North Ryde which was originally Booth’s Cakes.

Biviano’s Trattoria Church Street Ryde hosted the 30th Anniversary celebration party for John F Booth’s ownership of The Weekly Times. Silvio Biviano welcomed the Mayors of Ryde and Hunters Hill Councillors Ivan Petch and Sue Hoopmann above left. Another special guest was our own local superstar the voluptuous and inimitable Maria Venuti AM being welcomed by JB. Maria led the singing of “Happy Birthday JB” and the cutting of the cake.
