Volunteer Work Bee at Historic Addington

Volunteers are welcome at a Working Bee at historic “Addington” 813 Victoria Road Ryde this Saturday from 10am to 3pm.

Former Scouts and Guides will be especially welcome as Addington is the home of the St George’s Guilds of former scouts and guides where a Scout, Guide and Guilds Museum will be officially launched on Sunday September 21 by Wendy Baden-Powell granddaughter of Lord Robert Baden-Powell the founder of the Scout and Guide Movement.

This will follow a Centenary of Australian Scouting Thanksgiving Service in historic St Anne’s Church at 10am to which all former scouts and guides are specially welcome. Inquiries Rusty Russell OAM 9878 2289, Eva J Maxted 9878 1887 or John F Booth AM 9807 6666.
