Sporties Book launch

GLADESVILLE Bowling & Sports Club legend George ‘Buddy’ Brennan officially launched the Golden Jubilee history book “The Story of the Beginnings and the First Fifty Years” compiled by club stalwarts Les Chambers and senior vice president John Gibson at the Sporties Club last Thursday. They are pictured with TWT Sports Editor Chris Karas - author of the book “From Fraser to Farah - History of Balmain Junior League 1908-2008”; Ryde City Mayor and club patron Ivan Petch and former Balmain, Queensland and Australian Test fullback Frank Drake, who is one of five internationals produced by the Gladesville Junior Rugby League Club.
