A memorable 21st party on the cards

Rebecca Brewer is set to have a 21st birthday party to remember, thanks to the generosity of locals. Last month, TWT carried a story on Rebecca, who suffers from Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) - a condition which causes layers of her skin to blister and separate. Since TWT reported the Macquarie Park Rotary Club were organising a party for her, donations and other kind gestures have flooded in, with one generous family even donating money for a new wheelchair, said Macquarie Park Rotary public relations officer Roseanne Gallo. Rebecca’s old school, Riverside Girls High, donated $100 towards the birthday cake. Hunters Hill Quilters offered a beautiful hand-made quilt, while NSI Ryde College - Pastry & Baking section, said they would supply chocolate truffles. To celebrate her actual birthday, last Monday, seafood loving Rebecca was treated to a lobster dinner courtesy of Platinum Bar & Grill.
