Contestants will be competing for the Festival Queen crown and honour to star in the Grand Parade in Eastwood on Saturday October 18 as well as fabulous prizes. This years TWT Festival Queen will win a Holiday for Two to New Caledonia flying Aircalin and staying at the magnificent Ramada Plaza in Noumea with $1,000 spending money from Eastwood Shopping Centre. TARA LESTER, 23, of Putney, LEFT, enjoys cooking, eating, netball and dancing. She is interested in fashion, travelling and learning about different cultures. She has been involved in the Granny Smith Festival for many years with her dancing school. She has also modelled since she was a child. I think this would be a great opportunity for me to get involved with the community again and also help inspire others to continue their participation. She believes that she could bring a bright, friendly approachable personality to the community. KRYSTAL LESTER, 20, of Putney, RIGHT, whose interests include animals, especially her puppy Sooty, playing sport, watching movies, listening to music and studying biology and genetics at university, has been involved in the Festival in the past and intends on continuing this into the future. To be part of TWT Granny Smith Festival and represent the communitys youth being announced the queen would be an honour. The festival represents what I consider to be important symbols; community involvement and support of local businesses, sporting teams and school.
CATRINA BINES, 20, of Concord LEFT, enjoys netball, athletics, studying, watching movies and shopping. She is interested in exercise, physiotherapy, science and medicine. She believes that being the Granny Smith Festival Queen would be a great opportunity to meet new people and push herself to experience new things. I want to get more involved in the community and I think that being in this quest would help me to achieve this. It would be an honour to represent the community. NATALIE BINES, 22 of Concord RIGHT, enjoys netball, reading, nursing, chocolate and the beach. She would like to be TWT Granny Smith Festival Queen because she believes it would be a great opportunity to be part of such a well known community event. I would like to get involved with more things in the community and I think that the Granny Smith Festival is a great way to do this.
