GREAT NEWS, Hunters Hill Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea held in Ferdinand Street recently raised $21,000 - a record for us.

To those who were able to come along to our day, thank you for taking time out of your week to join us. I think you will agree it was a splendid get together. This year more than 1.1 million people around Australia would have taken part in the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea. The funds raised from these events go directly to: research into new and improved treatments; education and prevention programs; support services for patients and families; advocacy to protect the community from cancer risk factors.

THE EFFORT locally was a fantastic achievement. Our front door welcomers Helen Lewis, Danielle Gannon, Susanne Goh and Caroline Pritchard sailed forth with Brett, Ann Raciti, Sally Stobo, Mary Vevers, Kip Morrel, Tess Mulveny and Aunt Gabrielle on kitchen duties supplying the throng with morning tea, Uncle John on ham carving duties and the wonderful Emma Pendleton on vocals. The biggest thank-you should go to Amanda Lee.

Our very warm thanks goes to: our major sponsors, Tracey Dixon and Narelle Scott of McGrath Hunters Hill; our proud supporters, Mario and Alisa of Eurobyte IT Consultants who supplied all our computer and technical support; to David and Robyn Carver of Home Instead Senior Care, providers of a range of in-home Senior care services; Knowledgebank IQ Investment and Financial Advisers; Hunters Hill Masonic Lodge.
