A Serious Invitation to Jovial Joe Hockey MP

Dear Joe,

We know you enjoy a joke and a good time and even dressing up in a tutu , wearing a crown and waving a wand to get air time as a gig on Channel 10 TV as a publicity stunt as recently as this week.

The Sydney Morning Herald featured you – tutu, crown and wand and all – on page 20 Monday in their The Diary section captioned “Hockey’s Star Turn” and you gained air time on national ABC TV albeit in a rather derisory manner Monday night.

But wouldn’t it have been more beneficial and profitable to be on the front foot and on page 1 where even Granny Herald headlined ”Climate Policy backlash takes shine off Rudd” or even page 9 where again SMH headlined “More mistakes found in climate change report”.

We appreciate you are currently out of kilter with the mainstream Coalition MPs and the now overwhelming Liberal Party membership on the hoax of man-made global warming and climate change.

However, for the sake of our country and our famous ‘working families’, our children, grandchildren and just as importantly great grandchildren and great great grandchildren ad infinitum, could we invite you to have another look at this most important of all issues facing Australia today.

Consequently we would like to issue you a most cordial invitation to attend this Friday’s public debate “Does Anthropogenic Global Warming Endanger Mankind?” at Hilton Sydney from 12.30pm between Christopher Lord Monckton and Tim Lambert and chaired by Alan Jones AO.

PS. Joe, you may be aware that the Lord Monckton tour has been arranged by one of your North Sydney Liberal Party members who would appreciate a courteous reply to some of his past correspondence that remains unanswered or acknowledged. Ed.
