Skate park wheels into action- at last

Black wheel marks are already on the concrete of the newly completed Hunters Hill Skate Park, in the Gladesville Reserve on Victoria Road, with local youth putting it to the test last week.

The $150,000 skating precinct is open to the public after 18 months of planning and construction.

“It has been a long time coming,” said a Hunters Hill Council spokesperson.

The skate park has been designed for beginners and intermediate riders with features for advanced riders, too. Rather than a traditional bowl, the skate park is for low-level street skating and includes ramps and grind rails.

There will be an official opening of the skate park later this month, at a date yet to be determined.
