Meadowbank Scouts to the rescue
Meadowbank Scouts were on duty again at Meadowbank last Sunday on Clean-up Australia day collecting over three tonnes of rubbish. Items collected ranged from cigarette butts to car wheels and as usual plastic bottles and bags made up a huge proportion of the rubbish collected. And as in previous years the Meadowbank group also fed and watered the over 100 volunteer collectors in the Meadowbank wharf vicinity on the day. Group members were kept busy with a non-stop barbecue sausage sizzle and supply of drinks and refreshments.
