Institute’s 150th Anniversary

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd’s wife Therese Rein launched the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children’s 150th anniversary celebrations at North Rocks last week.

Therese Rein is pictured with Institute chief executive John Berryman. She applauded the Institute for continuing the work of its first teacher and founder in 1860 Thomas Pattison with the help of Rev George King and George Lenz.
