Balmain Tigers 2012 Premiers! Tigers won all four grades played over the weekend including the grand final premiership under 18s S G Ball Cup. Tigers legend Benny Elias’ nephew Mitchell Moses was named Player of the Final and Man of the Match in the Balmain Tigers decisive 42-20 win over the red hot Canberra junior Hot Air Fatcats at St Marys Saturday arvo. The winning Tigers made a triumphant victory appearance at the TWT Club 6 Ryde Sports Foundation Sports Star of the Year gala Presentation Dinner at Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club to a thunderous applause later in the evening. They will now represent NSW against the Bananabenders’ Towns-ville Stingrays in the National Under 18s Challenge this Saturday up north. Also last Saturday night Tigers Firsts kept the excitement alive with a thriller win on the Gold Coast when skipper Robbie Farah booted the winning field goal in golden point time although the result was never in doubt. Just keeping the fans entertained. Earlier Robbie scored the Tigers first try and showed why he’s gotta be the first pick for Blues State of Oblivion hooker this weekend. Tigers Toyota Cup NYC side had a blinder in the NRL curtainraiser with a 34-6 win while Balmain Ryde Eastwood Tigers ventured over the ditch to Kiwiland for a meritorious 32-18 victory at Mt Smart. In all the Tigers at the weekend scored 123 points and conceded only a total of 58 against. Tigers Firsts and NYC Cup have this weekend off with the bye while Balmain Ryde Eastwood Tigers meet and eat the Cronulla Tadpoles this Saturday at 1pm at Henson Park. See ya there.
