Tigers Best Yet Victory! Tigers displayed their best form of the year when they thrashed the Kiwis 24-12 in the second half at Leichhardt Oval HQ on Friday night. That was our best performance of the year said Tigers supercoach Tiger Tim Sheens after the game as the Tigers recorded their fourth straight win in a row. Their record is even more impressive when you consider the Tigers are playing without three of their best forwards in Gareth Ellis, Chris Heighington and Matt Groat and the unfortunate season ending injury to up and coming fullback superstar James Tedesco. Plus stand in five eighth Chris Lawrence was forced out at half time through injury. Friday’s win was memorable too because the team was playing without their skipper Robbie Farah who was sidelined with State of Oblivion responsibilities and duties tonight as the Blues hooker in Mexico City against the Cane Toads. Tiger Tim Sheens praised stand-in hooker Tom Humble who some named man of the match and Pat Politoni who made his First grade debut. Stand-in skipper Mr Magic Benji Marshall starred with the boot for a four out of four winning result. Tigers up and coming star prop Aaron Woods has been rewarded too for his outstanding form and performance by being called up to the Blues for tonight’s showdown south of the border. Tigers NYC Cup side stays top of the table with an overwhelming victory over the junior Kiwis ten tries to two for a total of 54 – 12 in Friday’s curtainraiser. Tigers will continue on their winning way this Sunday at Cameltown when they host the Milkmaids. See ya there.
