WOW! WHAT A WEEK it’s been in TWT Territory and what a week it’s going to be in the days ahead.
We’ve had the extraordinary action of the Ryde mayor suing eight of his fellow colleagues on Council over the GM affair.
And the number eight reigns supreme again with the Macquarie Community College chairman Susan Murray announcing she wants the removal from office of the eight current elected board members and is calling another extraordinary general meeting following the aborted meeting called for last Tuesday.
Not to mention the Drummoyne Sports Club fiasco. Certainly hectic and interesting times.
FERRY SOCIETY members were saddened last week with the passing of their esteemed committee member and treasurer David Lusby of Lane Cove.
Australian Ferry Society tours officer John Bennett of Melrose Park tells me David was a keen traveller on historic vintage train trips as well as the ferry society tours his last one being on the historic Rosman’s ferry “Lithgow” recently.
David passed away in Longueville Hospital on July 26 aged 81. His largely attended funeral service was in Roseville Uniting Church and Macquarie Park on August 1. Our sympathy all his family and friends.
