Brad wins Player of Year Award

RYDE-Eastwood rugby league half back Brad Davoren-Whereat (pictured) is the inaugural winner of the Keith Aggett Memorial Club Person of the Year Award.

The skillful playmaker was a deserving recipient after his wholehearted performances on and off the field for the Hawks’ U/19s in the Combined Sydney Junior Rugby League competition.

He accepted the trophy from RELC director Graeme Aggett, son of the late Hawks’ Leagues Club president Keith Aggett, at the Presentation Dinner at Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club.

Powerful prop Jayden Hughes scooped the pool when he collected the Hawks’ Division 2 Player of the Year and Players’ Player awards.

RYDE-Eastwood Football Club will field five teams in Junior League competitions during the 2018 season. The Hawks are set to register two Under 18s and two Under 20s mens teams in the Combined Sydney JRL competition plus a Women’s Open Age side for the first time in the Sydney Metropolitan premiership.
