NORTH Ryde RSL Cricket Club members will step up to the crease on Sunday February 18 to raise money for the McGrath Foundation.
The club’s cricketing contingent are ready to display their batting, bowling and fielding skills at the annual Pink Stumps Day on North Ryde RSL’s back oval.
Men and women players including seniors and juniors will bring the magic of the Pink Test into North Ryde when they contest a 30 overs per side challenge match from 10am. North Ryde RSL Cricket Club president Kel Gray said the annual charity match makes a real difference by helping place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities
“Pink Stumps Day provides an opportunity for our local community to participate in the spirit, energy and international phenomenon of the Pink Test,” Kel told The Weekly Times.
“By bringing the magic home it raises vital funds to make life for families experiencing breast cancer just that little bit easier.
“It is a great day out to bring the family, enjoy a picnic lunch and watch an exciting game of cricket. The club is inviting friends and families to get involved with lots of fun activities.
“Wear pink on the day and have some money on hand to donate to the McGrath Foundation.”
There’ll be a raffle, barbecue and Pink Bakery which will be held on the day. For more information about Pink Stumps Day or the McGrath Foundation, visit www.pinkstumpsday.com.au or www.mcgrathfoundation.com.au or contact Kel Gray 0409 540 264.
