HARD working swimmer Jim Parker has taken out Ryde AUSSI Masters Swimming Club’s annual Encouragement Award.

Parker was presented his award by Club president Andrew McCrindell.

Jim first joined Ryde AUSSI Masters in January 2015 and has been swimming with the club in the lane commonly known as the ‘social lane’.

He attends club training nights twice each week without fail and during this time his swimming has improved out of sight.

Club officials said Parker was a worthy winner of the Masters encouragement award because he has always been interested
in improving his stroke, would inquire and take instructions
throughout the year.

Masters swimming welcomes people of all ages from 18 years to 100 plus years and all standards.

Ryde AUSSI Masters meet at Ryde Aquatic & Leisure Centre on Monday and Wednesday nights. Inquiries to Andrew McCrindell on 0431 290302.
