Grey Wolf Award for Cub Scout Lucy

First Roselea Cub Scout Lucy was given a special honour last month when presented with the Grey Wolf Award.

Steven Buchert, Moocooboolah District Leader for Cub Scout, said Lucy was presented with the award by visiting Regional Commissioner for Cub Scouts Maureen Twin at a combined Cub and Scout activity night in the Scout hall.

Lucy, who completed her journey through Cub Scouts, has visited new places and attempted challenges that she previously thought not possible; the Grey Wolf Award is the highest achievement for a Cub Scout and Lucy has worked hard at her goal to achieve this special award.

Cub Scouts regularly see things that are amazing and enjoy experiences at the Scout hall and in the outdoors with activities based around fun, adventure, exploration and imagination.

Activities include the Boomerang Award Scheme, Achievement badge work including the Cub Scout Leadership Course, bushwalking and camping under canvas to name a few.

Cub Scouts have an amazing capacity to learn, have great fun and are given the opportunity to lead within familiar surroundings.
