Leadership Awards for local Primary School students

ROTARY Club of Eastwood-Gladesville staged its annual Primary Schools Leadership Awards Night at Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club with this year’s event proving the biggest and best yet.

Some 31 students from 16 local primary schools received awards in recognition of their leadership qualities and skills.

Certificates and letters of congratulations were presented to the awardees by Eastwood-Gladesville Rotary President Robert Erskine, Bennelong MP John Alexander and Parramatta MP Geoff Lee.

In addition, awardees were each given a movie ticket donated by Event Cinemas Top Ryde City; a Hinja sphere and a showbag of goodies donated by St George Bank Eastwood.

For their encouragement and support of positive leadership, representatives of each school were presented with a school award.

Other special guests included Parramatta Clr Bill Tyrrell, City of Ryde Clrs Trenton Brown and Peter Kim and City of Sydney Clr Craig Chung.
