Tigers Back at Leichhardt HQ This Sunday!
All roads will lead to Leichhardt Oval this Sunday as the Tigers make their first 2017 HQ appearance this year.
They are set to welcome the visiting Mexicans and return them packing pointless south of the border as the Tigers flex their comp winning muscles.
Tigers skipper Aaron Woods and his boys will be anxious to redeem for the past few weeks results and promises to set the Tigers well on their way to a winning streak heading for grand final honours.
Obviously lots of attention will be given to the search for a new head coach following the Club board’s decision to sever the services of controversial coach Jason Taylor when only three games into the new 2017 season.
Assistant coach Andrew Webster will serve as acting head coach until the appointment of a new head coach asap.
Most Tigers fans are deeply disappointed it’s club favourite and Blues number 9 hooker Robbie Farah was forced to leave the Tigers on the eve of his 250th first grade game which had to be celebrated at our great rival Bunnies burrow out Redfern way.
However this pause gives Tigers fans who haven’t got set yet with their Ma-in-Law’s Funeral Fund on the Tigers winning the Grand Final NRL Premiership come October 1 to get on while odds are still good.
And after the Tigers big win this Sunday it will be all down to Tigers Five Dock for a celebratory cool one or three.
See ya there.
Hawks enter new League Comp
Ryde Eastwood District Rugby League Club will field two Hawks teams in a new Sydney Combined Junior League competition this year.
Ryde Eastwood Hawks will enter Division 1 and Division 2 sides with the support of Holy Cross Rhinos, North Ryde Hawks, Dundas Shamrocks and Carlingford Cougars.
The Division 1 side will be coached by Balmain Tigers SG Ball Coach Michael Frain and Division 2 side will be coached by Richard Kelly with the aid of his coaching staff from last year’s successful Balmain Junior United U19s side.
