Professor Geoffrey Tofler Cardiologist at Royal North Shore Hospital and Medical Director of Heart Research Australia was guest speaker at last Wednesday’s well supported Heart Disease Symposium in Gladesville RSL Community Club.
Symposium was organised and presented by Ryde Branch of Heart Support Australia which now meets regularly at the Gladesville RSL Club.
Attendees enjoyed a free morning tea and three lucky people won valuable prizes in a lucky door competition.
First prize was a large fruit basket donated by Rocco and Dean of Shepherds Bay’s Village Fresh Grocer at shop 4, 11A Bay Drive, Meadowbank won by Santa and Luigi Testa, pictured holding the fruit basket prize.
Other prizes were an Omron Blood Pressure monitor donated by Dr Teresa Houwing MBBS and Dr Praneetha Amaranath MBBS, FRACGP of Eastwood Medical Centre, 1 Lakeside Road Eastwood and a Dinner for 2 at Taste of Tuskany Restaurant, Carlingford.
