Premier Gladys Berejiklian a new Patron
Chairman Edna Wilde OAM reported on a most successful 2017 for Ryde Eisteddfod at last week’s Annual General Meeting held in the Forster Room at Brush Farm House.
She said the numbers continued to grow as did the quality and diversity of sections on offer to competitors.
“We were delighted to welcome NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian as a new Patron in 2017” Edna Wilde said. “The premier has long history in the City of Ryde growing up in the area and attending primary and secondary school in Ryde”.
Next year the Eisteddfod will celebrate its 30th anniversary Edna Wilde reported “and we will showcase the Eisteddfod talent at an event in 2018 and acknowledge the work of the people who have made the Eisteddfod the significant event it has become in the City of Ryde”.
