The Elouera Reserve project is part of the $5 million Shrimptons Creek Precinct Support Scheme.
“Government has funded $5 million of these works, from the Precinct support Scheme post the rezoning of the Macquarie University planned precinct,” Mr Dominello said.
“The grant to Ryde Council by the NSW Government is to be spent on three distinct open space projects and the first of these projects to be completed is Elouera Reserve.”
The Elouera Reserve project features a playground, picnic areas and lighting upgrade works.
To celebrate the new playspace, Mr Dominello and Ryde Liberal councillors Trenton Brown, Sarkis Yedelian OAM and Jordan Lane joined a couple of local youngsters to put it to the test, Clr Yedelian giving it the “thumbs up”.
