West Ryde’s annual Easter Parade & Fair will celebrate its silver anniversary on Saturday, March 24, bigger and better than ever, centred for the first time on the West Ryde Plaza.

The Easter Parade & Fair was initiated by The Weekly Times with the then newly established West Ryde Chamber of Commerce at
the insistence of TWT editor John F Booth AM and TWT’s sales executive Jo Cosgrove-Lumley who had re-established the Chamber.

An Easter Parade & Fair committee has been meeting regularly to prepare for this year’s major event with current West Ryde
Chamber of Commerce president Nora Etmekdjian as committee secretary Ryde City Council is now offering support in the planning and organisation of the celebration which has been a great help.

Next meeting of the committee starts 4.30pm on Wednesday, January 17 at Denistone Sports and Bowling Club. Inquiries: Nora on 0417 699 955.
