ONE of the best things about cats is that they are very independent creatures.
Unlike dogs, who require quite a high level of attention each day, cats are quite happy to have time to themselves. In fact, cats will sleep for about 15 hours a day so you don’t have to worry about them being too bored when you’re at work.
Cats are also renowned for their remarkable agility and grace.
Their supple bodies, flexible spines and sharp reflexes enable them to perform incredible feats, such as leaping great heights and landing effortlessly.
Their ability to swiftly navigate any terrain with poise adds to their captivating allure.
Meet ‘Ginny’, an affectionate, five-year-old cat looking for love.
She was devastated when her family surrendered her to the World League for Protection of Animals (WLPA) at Gladesville.
A WLPA spokesperson says no one wants to see her again feeling abandoned and rejected, having lost her whole world.
“She can be picked up, cuddled and rubs affectionately against a kind hand,” the spokesperson said.
“She is used to living with children but found the boisterous dog a bit intimidating. All the volunteers at WLPA have fallen in love with her and tried hard to ease her sorrow. This has meant she has started eating again and does not spend the whole day staring into the corner of the room.”
Desexed and recently vaccinated, ‘Ginny’ now awaits a new family to love. Can you give her a furrever home?
