Are you – or someone you know – heading to Putney’s Cork and Fork ‘By The Riverside’ event today? It’s kicked off as planned at 11am but things might be a little quiet at Kissing Point Park.

Don’t worry, you’re not there a week too early – the event’s been relocated just around the corner at Cleves Park (on Douglas Street), Putney.

City of Ryde made a late decision to relocate today’s festivities to ensure attendees, stallholders and entertainers are better sheltered from the elements in the event there’s some bad weather later in the day  – a big thankyou to the thoughtful and proactive council staff who have worked hard to put on this event but remained focused on the comfort and experience for locals and visitors, even arranging the map below for those who may need it.

“Cork & Fork is still on TODAY from 11am in Putney. We’ve just moved to a more sheltered spot about 50 metres around the corner, to Cleves Park on Douglas Street,” City of Ryde said in a statement.

“Parking is available at the original event site at Kissing Point Park. There are traffic controllers on site directing festival-goers and our free shuttle will also make a stop close to the event site, on Waterview Street.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused but have done everything we can to make sure festival-goers can still enjoy Cork & Fork today. We look forward to seeing you there!”
