Anzac Day temporary road closure

-

Tonight, Hunter’s Hill Council and Ryde Police Area Command will implement road closures from approximately 6.40pm to 7.15pm for our ANZAC March and Memorial Service.

Alexandra Street will be closed between Ferry Street and Stanley Road starting around 6.40pm. D’Aram Street will be closed from the Council Car Park to Alexandra Street.

Roads will reopen once police deem it safe. Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to honouring our veterans and service personnel at tonight’s service in the Hunters Hill Town Hall and hope you can join us.

Family fun day:
Cockatoo Island open day

On Sunday 4 May, Cockatoo Island will come alive as it celebrates the Australian Heritage Festival 2025. A range of family-friend activities will be on offer including live music, dance lessons, food trucks and stalls, steam crane demonstrations, boat rides and more.

National Road Safety Week

I am pleased to share that Hunter’s Hill Council will host a National Road Safety Week pop-up stall on Friday 16 May.

The event will take place at 45 Gladesville Road from 10am to 11.30am and will include the latest initiatives and tips to help you stay safe on the roads in Hunters Hill.

Council is committed to keeping our community informed. Our Road Safety team will be on hand to discuss their insights into responsible driving, local initiatives and tips to protect all road users. There will also be quizzes and giveaways on the day to test your knowledge of road safety.

National Road Safety Week is an opportunity for everyone to come together and commit to prioritising vigilance and care on our streets.

I encourage everyone to participate in this event and by doing so, you will contribute to safer roads and drivers in our community.

Last chance to have your say: Library Survey

There is still time for you to complete our library survey by Friday 25 April.

Your insights will help establish a vibrant and inclusive library and community hub in the heart of the Hunters Hill village, that will foster lifelong learning, creativity, and social connection.

I encourage all members of the Hunters Hill LGA to share their input towards this valuable community asset. Have your say at connect.huntershill.nsw.gov.au
