GLADESVILLE CHAMPION Nunziata Basile has been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia OAM in the general division for service to seniors.
She says it’s truly an honour to receive the Order of Australia Medal.
“I feel deeply humbled and grateful for this recognition albeit unexpected,” she said.
“I’ve worked with passion and enthusiasm and God’s guidance to provide purpose and enjoyment to Italian seniors.
“I wasn’t expecting such a recognition as the things I did for 40 years of service to the Italo-Australian Seniors Group, were for the community, giving Italian and Australian seniors an environment to foster social interaction, enjoyment and fun.”
